Read more: IVF PricingIn some cases, especially if married couples do not have a chance to conceive within 1 year during the relationship, infertility is mentioned in such cases, meanwhile infertility is called infertility in the medical language, you will see this definition a lot in most of our articles.
If patients with infertility cannot conceive in normal ways, if pregnancy does not occur after most medical or simple treatments, in vitro fertilization treatment remains the only option. Features Applications to our IVF center in Cyprus are increasing day by day.
The most common findings among patients who will undergo IVF treatment
Patients with male factor, that is, low sperm motility or low sperm count, also
have ovulation problems or
There are patients with low egg reserve and decreased egg number.
Unfortunately, poor living conditions are irreversibly affected by genetics and age.
In some genetic diseases; There may be no sperm in the man, or if his partner has patients with a family history of low egg levels, these are factors that affect the probability of egg deficiency. If there is an early menopause condition in the family, it poses a risk for egg reduction.
When couples decide on in vitro fertilization treatment, they are supported psychologically, and the treatment process is explained by our consultant so that they have information, and there is no question mark left unanswered.
Due to the genetic structure within the family members, genetic health also constitutes the genetic health of the society.
Genetic Counseling: It is an education and communication event that includes calculating the probability of recurrence of this hereditary disease in himself, his children or relatives of a person at risk of any permanent disease, telling the relevant person and taking all necessary actions to solve the problem.
Purpose: It is the state-of-the-art use of modern and cutting-edge medical technology to reduce the proliferation of genetic diseases.
During genetic counseling, it is necessary to share all reports and information with the patient in detail, but to do this in an understandable way. For example, information should be given to the patient in an informative way, not as a directive. In short, it should be aimed to ensure the active participation of the patient in the decision to be taken.
Genetic counseling should be provided in cases of prenatal diagnosis (amniocentesis, etc.), blood kinship, exposure to Teratogen (chemical agent, etc.) during or before pregnancy, and recurrent pregnancy loss, which are thought to be made due to abnormal carrier status, advanced maternal age and other reasons.
In vitro fertilization treatment, which is generally applied to women with clogged ovarian channels, has now become a method used for infertility reasons in almost all countries.
In vitro fertilization treatment is used in cases of closed or clogged ovarian ducts, sperm disorders in men, and some infertility that cannot be explained due to advanced age.
In non-advanced sperm and egg disorders; Pregnancy can be achieved by vaccination. Vaccination can be attempted up to 6 times. Generally, the probability of success in 3 attempts is quite high. If 3 attempts are unsuccessful, IVF treatment should be tried. The cases that are tried more than 3 times are women with polycystic ovary disease. More ovulation treatments can be tried in women with this disease.
In unexplained infertility, if the infertility period has exceeded three years, it is useful to try in vitro fertilization treatment. If the woman has passed the age of 35, there is no need to wait for a period of three years.
In hormonal disorders, if pregnancy has not occurred despite ovulation for 1 year, in vitro fertilization should be tried.
In people with endometriosis, if the disease is mild or moderate, it is defined as unexplained infertility.
If male factors and total motile sperm count are less than 1 million, microinjection technique should be applied. If the total sperm count is between 1 and 10 million, direct IVF treatment is required.
The first thing to know about the IVF method; It is not applicable for every patient.
Because some types of infertility can be treated with simpler methods. The important thing is to identify the problems that cause infertility and to prepare a treatment protocol.
Most infertility parents see IVF as the last resort, and this is a wrong point of view.
Suitable situations for the IVF method are as follows:
Women with blocked ovarian ducts and excessive damage to the ovaries
Women whose ovarian ducts were removed at the end of surgical procedures
In women who have adhesions in the reproductive system that will prevent the eggs from being held by the fallopian tubes, in vitro fertilization treatment can be successfully applied and healthy pregnancies can be achieved at high rates.

Before starting the treatment, our consultants will provide you with all the necessary information free of charge, and the drugs you will use at the beginning of the treatment process, etc. is taught. In addition, we can plan everything from flight tickets, airport transfers and hotel accommodation to our patients who will come to Cyprus from abroad.
The factor that most affects the level of success in IVF treatment; Undoubtedly, it is the production of a large number of eggs in the female ovaries. Therefore, thanks to the drugs that we told our patient to use during counseling, the ovaries are controlled and egg development is ensured. These drugs we are talking about are injections made under the skin or into the muscle. It takes an estimated 10-12 days to control the ovaries by means of drugs. In order for you to follow the status of your egg development, ultrasound devices are checked several times and the dose of your drugs is adjusted by looking at the hormone levels in your blood, depending on the situation.
During the control of egg development, if a sufficient number of eggs are found to be mature, the eggs are injected under the skin or intramuscularly with a needle to complete the final development process. Egg retrieval is scheduled for the 36th hour after this last drug treatment. During the egg collection process, our patients can be given sedative or sleep-inducing drugs if they wish. If desired, we can also perform this procedure under complete anesthesia. The treatment process, for example, is similar to the vaginal ultrasonography applied in your egg development follow-ups. The only difference is; It is a needle attached to a vaginal ultrasonography device that is passed through the vagina and collects the eggs in the ovaries. The duration of the procedure is approximately 30 minutes. Then, fertilization is performed with sperm cells. After the egg is collected, we give the couples a rest period of 2-3 hours and discharge them from the hospital. After these stages, we give double information about the drugs to be used.
Just one day after the egg collection you mentioned in the previous step, the couple is informed about how many of the eggs were fertilized normally and healthily. The fertilized eggs in our laboratory are monitored in about 2 to 5 days, and when the detection is deemed appropriate, the best quality ones are selected and placed back in the womb in a certain number of times. The couple is informed in advance of when the insertion will take place.
Before starting the transfer process, the couple is given detailed information about the number and quality of the embryos to be transferred. The transfer method, frankly, is no different from a very simple inspection process. No medication or anesthesia is required. Before the transfer, the only thing required is for the expectant mother to drink water and fill her bladder a little. Because the transfer process is performed under ultrasonographic observation. During the transfer process, a medical thin tube loaded with embryos is passed through the cervix and placed into the uterus. Thus, the embryos are left in the uterus. If there are good quality embryos or embryos left after the implantation process, the consent of the couple is obtained and the quality embryos are frozen and stored for future use. After the transfer, the couple is sent home after resting for a while (3-4 hours) in our IVF Hospital. The expectant mother is asked to spend the day just resting. In order to support the development of pregnancy, progesterone, estrogen and/or HCG (hormone) supplementation can be started after egg collection or embryo transfer. It is possible to learn the result of the treatment with the pregnancy test performed 2 weeks after the embryo transfer. If the pregnancy test is positive, an ultrasound appointment will be made after 3 weeks to observe your baby's heartbeat.
